Mounts are a great way to get around in WoW, but they can also be expensive. They’re a must for leveling and PvP, but they’ll eventually add up to a significant chunk of your gold. Fortunately, Blizzard has some changes coming in Patch 3.2 to help make them cheaper.
When the Patch hits, the level requirements for many regular land and flying mounts will be lowered. Additionally, the cost of training them will be reduced significantly. This should allow players to afford to keep them even after they’ve reached max level.
Level 60 is the earliest a player can unlock an epic flying mount. But before that, they’ll have to spend a lot of gold to train both their riding skill and the actual mount itself. Rare mounts that increase ground speed by 60% cost 80 gold each without discounts, while the level 60 epic flying mount costs a whopping 900 gold before any reputation-based discounts.
The good news is that as a player becomes exalted with each faction, they’ll begin to receive discount on both the mount and the riding skill required to use it. In addition, once a player reaches PvP rank 3 they’ll be eligible for another 10% discount on the mount and riding skill cost. This can save a significant amount of money, especially for level 70 mounts that currently cost over 1,000 gold.
Once a player reaches the appropriate level to obtain a mount, they’ll be able to purchase it from the mount vendor in their capital city. This vendor will display a list of available mounts, with their appearance, source, and a short description of the mount. Players can also view all of their owned mounts in the Mounts tab by right-clicking on their character and selecting “Summon Random Favorite Mount”.
In WoW Classic WoW Cataclysm Gold, the only limiting factor to getting an epic flying mount was that you needed to be level 50 and have the Expert Riding skill. The new system allows you to learn the first tier of the epic flying mount at level 40, while the second tier is only accessible when reaching level 60.
There are several ways to make gold in WoW, but some of them are more efficient than others. For instance, some players prefer to pick up the gathering professions such as Mining and Herbalism, which are easy to master, fast to level up, and yield high amounts of gold from each kill. However, that doesn’t mean making money in WoW is an impossible task; doing the daily quests alone will net you 300 gold a day, and if you start turning those greens into blues and auctioning them off on the Auction House, you can see 400-500g a day very easily.
